Breastfeeding Mothers Asked to Report Evidence of Discrimination

July 15, 2007 by Amy Spangler | no questions or comments

Sunny Sarkis, a legal intern for the Civil Rights Enforcement Division of the California Attorney General’s office, is currently gathering information on discrimination against mothers while breastfeeding in public in California.

Specifically, Ms. Sarkis is asking breastfeeding mothers who during the past 12 months have been discriminated against in business establishments or other public places to share their experience. The information will be used only for research purposes.

If you or someone you know has experienced discrimination, please contact Ms. Sarkis.
