The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has updated its MyPyramid information by adding new web pages designed specifically for pregnant and breastfeeding women—MyPyramid for Moms.

You can get a quick estimate of what and how much you need to eat by entering the information into the MyPyramid Plan for Moms.

MyPyramid in Action Fact Sheets are also available at WIC WORKS. The Fact Sheets provide nutrition tips for pregnant and breastfeeding moms as well as information on recommended dietary supplements during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.

The MyPyramid Food Guidance System, was developed by the USDA Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion to replace the Food Guide Pyramid. MyPyramid incorporates recommendations from the 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and is designed to provide an individualized approach to improving diet and lifestyle.
