The good news—the world wide web provides unlimited access to endless amounts of information.

The bad news—organizing that information into searchable databases can be a challenge. But the bad news just got better.

The National Center for Education in Maternal and Child Health at Georgetown University has launched a new National Sudden Infant Death Resource Center (NSIDRC) website.

Funded under a three-year contract with the federal Maternal and Child Health Bureau, Health Resources and Services Administration, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the NSIDRC website will serve as a repository for information collected from national, state, and local SIDS/Infant Death programs, as well as perinatal, stillbirth, maternal and child health, and bereavement organizations.

An important feature of the website will be the MCH Alert. This electronic newsletter will provide timely access to research findings, policy developments, recently released publications, and new programs and initiatives.

For more information on maternal and child health topics visit the MCH Library.
