And in today’s world of constant recalls, having a baby also means that there is a good chance that a lot of the stuff you thought you and your baby needed either contains lead or has been otherwise deemed unsafe (after you and your baby have decided you cannot live without the very product that has just been recalled, of course.)
For me, it’s the Boppy Bare Naked Slipcovers.
Boppy nursing pillows are nearly a staple in every new mother’s arsenal of items to make life easier. But the maker of the popular nursing and support pillow has voluntarily recalled about 38,000 of the velvet and boa slipcovers used with the Bare Naked Pillow, citing concerns of unsafe levels of lead and choking hazards.
Included in the recall are the Boppy Soothing and the Boppy Luxe covers.

Recalled slipcovers were sold at discount department stores from July 2006 to September 2007 and from February 2006 through September 2007 for $15 to $17. All were manufactured in
No injuries have been reported thus far.
Affected consumers are asked to stop using the unsafe products immediately and contact the Boppy Company for a free replacement product. Not sure if you have a recalled slipcover? Call the Boppy Company at (888) 713-3916 or visit their website.
