The MCH Information Resource Center (MCHIRC), funded by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau at the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), is pleased to announce the next program in the DataSpeak Series: Findings from Phase II of the National Healthy Start Evaluation.

One of the primary measures taken by the Government to address the continuing racial disparities in infant mortality and other adverse birth outcomes is the community-based Healthy Start program, funded by HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau.

The upcoming DataSpeak program will present the findings of Phase II of the national evaluation of Healthy Start, comprised of case studies of 8 local projects. The two Co-Principal Investigators, Deborah Klein Walker, EdD, Vice President of Abt Associates Program and Margo Rosenbach, PhD, Vice President of Mathematica Policy Research will discuss the study methods and unpublished results from the evaluation’s onsite staff interviews and participant survey.

This program will take place on Monday, June 2, 2008, at 3:00 p.m., EDT.
