The surveys were conducted in early and mid-2006 by Harris Interactive. Participants included women 18 to 45 years of age who had given birth to a single baby in U.S. hospitals in 2005.
“New Mothers Speak Out” examines the experiences of U.S. mothers in the first 18 months after giving birth. It focuses on physical and emotional challenges; breastfeeding experiences; support from husbands/partners and others; and challenges related to employment.
